* Pixar said when they thought of an Armadillo they thought of a dry environment, like in the desert and if it wasn't vegetated they wouldn't think twice about it.
* Have the character design drive the environment design.
* A lot more visual interest in Chris' first environment design.
* The other design was a little more desolate. (something from Coen brothers film)
* The design needs to depend on the story. If it is very Tex-avery then make it more cartoony.
