More Illegal Research...

I feel like a criminal.

Here's some better sky lighting (or close to it) shots.

I think the above could work. You could see car headlights in this lighting as well as see a ghost shader.

The sun is definitely up in the tetons. I think this is a sunset pic.

I'm related to that last big elephant on the left. Cousin of mine.

This is a cool-looking desert. Too smokey? Too pink? I think this could potentially be romantic...

I didn't know you were part elephant! I think the difference between morning and evening is the cool night air which often creates a mist in the morning. I think we could do just about anything with lighting/color palette. These are all beautiful. I know we as a story team are pushing for more tooniness, and the saturated colors are more in that vein.

Mike, i'm really enjoying the flava of your tasty sky shots. i'm colorblind, so take anything i say with a grain of salt, but i think the layer of clouds on the horizon (that act as mountains in terms of encroaching/filling the horizon)is a great idea. in your original painting posted below (the bluer, cool shadowed one) i think it works best, using more saturated shadows and cooler tones and then using that warmer, atmospheric cloud layer to do the warm thing Jeremy was feeling.

If we make it much later, were dealing with a very fast-changing time of the morning light-wise. it would be cool to only use one light setup.

the photos with the rosy/cream colors in the clouds and landscape would look reall cool in contrast to the early-morning blue-to-yellow gradient sky that you see before a really nice day.

That first image on the sand has an awesome feeling to it.
